WISE successfully completed a ToT to African partners of IIE and Coady

WISE successfully completed a ToT in Business Management Skills to African partners of Institute of International Education (IIE) and Coady international institute. The participants came from six African countries (including Ethiopia). The training aims at adopting WISE’s Business Management Skills training to target members of the respective organizations the participants come from. The country teams developed outlines for the trainings they are going to offer and action plans for the coming six months.

SIDCO supported needy women, school girls and children with special needs.

Sunlight Industrial and Distribution Co.(SIDCO) in collaboration with WISE has been working on a project that focuses on needy women, school girls and children with disabilities for the past 6 months. The organization has provided a small-scale poultry housings for WISE target members, chairs and drawing tools for students affected with down syndrome and provided financial support for those students who scored high grades to buy a school uniform in their upcoming academic year.

Conference on Post-harvest and Agro-processing Extension in Africa

WISE has been working with Sasakawa Global in Ethiopia in providing training and follow up services to rural women groups engaged in agro-programs. The director of WISE, Tsigie Haile, took part at a conference on Post-harvest and Agro-processing Extension in Africa with the theme Sustainable Post-harvest and Agro-processing Practices will drive Agricultural Transformation in Africa.

Melissa Waggener Zorkin, long-standing supporter of WISE paid a visit to WISE’s target women and saw the progress and status of the new building facilities. It is recalled that she generously contributed huge amount of money for the completion of the new WISE Women Training and Display Center. Melissa is a CEO, President & Founder of Waggener Edstrom Communications - one of the top PR firms in the world .She also visited women who are engaged in bio-gas and dairy productions, restaurants and women engaged in garment productions.Read more
