ToT in Facilitation and Training in WISE by 2013 Coady Fall Term Certificate and Diploma Course participants, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia


A three day intensive ToT training on Facilitation Skills was conducted from January 9 to 11, 2014 by recent Coady trainees who were sent as part of partner’s capacity building program of WISE/ EMPOWER project. The EMPOWER program is funded by the Government of Canada. It is a five-year program to enhance women’s leadership for economic empowerment and food security among three African countries, with Coady International institute as a Canadian partner.Read more

The EMPOWER project, Strengthening Leadership for Economic Empowerment and Food Security in Ethiopia, Ghana and Zambia is a five year project funded by the government of Canada and implemented in partnership with the Coady International Institute. Capacity building through provision of trainings in Canada and regional courses are among the many activities in this project.

A long supporter of WISE has given training to the staff of WISE

Barb Garrison, who is a long supporter of WISE, has given training for various WISE staff on health and safety matters on October 30, 2013 for a full day. Barb is a president of Safety and Environmental Solutions, Professional Continuity Practitioner, Certified Hazardous materials manager and holds MSc in Environmental Communications.
